As America celebrates its 250th anniversary year, we are reminded that honoring our past also means investing in our future.

America The Beautiful Foundation is proud to be featured in USA TODAY’s America 250 special edition. Titled “Investing in the Next 250 Years,” the feature highlights the Foundation’s growing national network and its commitment to strengthening America’s lands, waters, wildlife, infrastructure, communities and economy for generations to come.

Through our programs, the Foundation is bringing together public- and private-sector partners to advance solutions that connect conservation, community resilience, innovation and economic strength.

The Foundation’s work includes GROW, which develops the next generation of environmental stewards; SAFE, which advances wildfire prevention, early detection and emergency response; BLUE IMPACT, which protects clean water and coastal ecosystems; RESTORE, which helps communities prepare for and recover from disasters while supporting forest and ecosystem restoration; and POWER AMERICA, which houses RAII, the Resilient AI Infrastructure Initiative.

The feature also highlights several major efforts planned for America’s anniversary year, including garden education activations in all 50 states, 250 grants for high-impact restoration projects and the premiere of America The Beautiful, a new documentary narrated by Kelsey Grammer. The film will premiere Nov. 11, 2026, in IMAX® and giant-screen theaters nationwide.

Together, these programs reflect a shared belief that America’s natural resources, infrastructure and communities are inseparable. By bringing leaders, organizations and communities together, we can preserve what makes our nation beautiful while building a safer, healthier and more resilient future.

“We’re not just celebrating our history. We’re shaping our future,” said Dr. Emily Weeks, founder and executive director of America The Beautiful Foundation.

As we commemorate 250 years of American history, we invite partners across the country to join us in investing in the next 250.
