America The Beautiful Foundation Executive Director Dr Emily Weeks continued the Foundation’s work to strengthen wildfire resilience efforts in Tahoe City at the 2026 Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and Google.org Wildfire Resilience Initiative and AIC:W Grantee Convening.  She joined leaders across conservation, wildfire resilience, policy, philanthropy, and technology to help advance science-backed strategies for reducing wildfire risk across Western North America. This year’s convening included discussions focused on beneficial fire, wildfire emissions management, geospatial technology, forest health, community resilience, sustainable landscape management, and strengthening collaboration between innovators, agencies, scientists, and funders. Events like these help strengthen the partnerships and shared strategies needed to protect communities, improve ecological health, and support long-term resilience across the West.  At America The Beautiful Foundation, we believe protecting America’s natural heritage is essential to protecting America’s future. Through collaboration, innovation, and long-term investment in resilience, we can build healthier landscapes, safer communities, and a stronger future for generations to come.
